Many CEO primary schools provide on-site after school and vacation care services (sometimes called school age care or out of school hours care) for students. These licensed services are regulated by government children’s services legislation and may be operated by private companies, community organisations or by the CEO.

In the ACT the CEO is the licensed operator of after school care services at its primary schools in Calwell, Conder, Evatt, Gowrie, Harrison and Wanniassa. Directors of these services work with Principals, parents, CEO staff and the Children’s Policy Regulation Unit to ensure high quality care is provided for students. Opening hours and fees are set by each service.
